ABOUT

Lynn & Brian decided to set up Dog Sitters Murcia having spoken to lots of dog owners in Southern Spain, who all shared a common concern about having their dog looked after in a safe, dog-loving environment while they returned home to visit family, or headed off on holiday.  Others found it difficult to go out for the day when they had guests staying and wanted access to a doggie daycare facility.

Since they had been running an extremely successful dog sitting business in the UK for the last four years and loved having dogs around the home, it seemed a great opportunity for them to become dog sitters in Spain and offer a dog sitting service in Murcia.  Being situated conveniently close to the new airport at Corvera, Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort and Camposol means they can offer the service to many thousands of nearby ex-pats, as well as those on La Manga Club, or living in the Cartagena, or Mazarron areas.

If you are thinking of using their dog sitting service, do please take the time to read through some of their references and reviews.  They can happily provide you with contact details for those dog owners who kindly left the reviews and it might ease any concerns you have about entrusting your much-loved pet to their care.

Brian & Lynn are wholly trustworthy, conscientious, honest and genuine dog-lovers who will look after your pet as if it is their own.  They are fit, active, regular tennis players who enjoy dog walking and can offer your dog a 'home from home' while you are away.

Lynn has spent her working life in customer-facing roles and loves looking after people and pets.  Having enjoyed her time managing a busy supermarket, Lynn decided to transfer her skills to running her own business and set up her first business, a popular old English tea rooms called St Mary's Tea Rooms, in Hitchin some 25 years ago.

After selling that business, and in partnership with Brian, Lynn built up a chain of six specialist perfumeries with stores in Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth Garden City, Newmarket, Cambridge and Kettering but sadly the business didn't survive the financial crash in late 2008.

More recently, Lynn helped set up and run a UK based house and petting business and, alongside that business, Lynn owned and ran, Packleaders, a professional dog walking business, based around the Stevenage and Knebworth area.

As a life-long dog lover and hugely experienced dog sitter and dog walker, Lynn wanted to use that experience and expertise to offer dog sitting services to ex-pat dog owners on Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort, Camposol and other nearby areas in Murcia.

Brian originally trained as a Civil Engineer working at Hydraulics Research Station on the Thames Flood Barrier project before spending a spell in sales and then working for Royal Mail.  After which, he took a short service commission in the Royal Air Force and served five years as an RAF Officer, leaving to set up the restaurant business in partnership with Lynn.

During his three year stint as Chairman of the Hitchin Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Brian helped set up the Hitchin Town Centre Initiative and, having got the bug of town centre management, became St Albans' first City Centre Manager before moving on to manage Stevenage Town Centre for many years.

Staying at the various homes, looking after the dogs for whom they were dog sitting, while Lynn went out dog walking, gave Brian the opportunity to train as a web site designer and builder, and gave him the chance to hone his skills by building his own online gift store.  Brian walked the dogs where they were house sitting and assisted Lynn on busy days, as well as working as a dog trainer to help owners whose pets had behavioural issues.
